Punk Rock Kittie

Huh.

http://xkcd.com/

I feel the horrible urge to write that fic now...
Punk Rock Kittie

IT CONTINUES!

1. Leave me a casual comment of no particular significance, like a lyric to your current favorite song, or your favorite kind of sandwich, maybe your favorite game. Any remark, meaningless or not.

2. I will respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.

3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.

4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in your own post.

5. When others respond with a desultory comment, you will ask them five questions.

Questions by [info]dolmena

1) Explain your rage level, in general or in particular.

Just personal issues, also, I'll just paraphrase Ayn Rand: "I worship the individual for his limitless possibilities, and loathe mankind for his refusal to achieve this." These are, in fact, separate causes of rage. Or perhaps not.

2) What is your favorite vice? (What constitutes a "vice" in your world?)

I smoke. I smoke very fine, ten-dollar pack cigarettes with charcoal filters or no filter at all. I have gone to primarily Nat Shermans, dropping Marlboro's entirely. Ovals, at $8.50 a box, are the cheapest I go for. The most expensive, though not an everyday thing, are Al Capones. This is "Vice" by the common lexicon. I suffer no vice in my own lexicon, as I use it as something which one believe immoral but participates in anyway.

3) Vanilla, Neapolitan, or kinky? Discuss.

Kinky, when the time allows. Neopolitan, I enjoy quite the variety of flavors. Vanilla is enjoyable as well.

Speaking of Ice Cream, I enjoy simple Sweet Cream, no flavor of any kind beyond sugar, cream, and cold.

4) What do you want to be doing in 5 years?

Working for myself, creating art.

5) If you could be another person for a day, who would it be and why?

No one but myself. I might be a female version of me out of curiosity.

As a note

Many wouldn't believe this of me, but I was raised Roman Catholic. I still kiss my crossed thumb and fore-finger when I am hoping for a positive outcome, and even am somewhat receptive to the idea of belief as a necessity for others (even if I, myself, am not interested) so long as the reasoning is for real faith, not fluffy-bunny faith.

Further, I was once a pacifist and still very much like the idea of peace. However I cannot allow myself this stance as I am too pro actively protective, physically, of others, and the best defense is an insurmountable offense. I respect /TRUE/ pacifism, and greatly disdain Passivism, often mistaken for the earlier. Stand against or fight against, but nothing else is acceptable.

Last, I approve of those who protest wisely and effectively, I can even approve of a violent movement when correctly organized. I have not seen such in American within my lifetime and do not expect to. I may actually oppose the next idiotic protest I see or hear of in the City if such a whim trikes me. Freedom of speech works both ways.

As a note: Fluffy-bunny faith is fine, but keep it to y'self. I am tolerant only so far as I need to be in my view. Fluffy bunnies should expect a poor reception at my hands.

Hooka

I was conceiving of building a hooka today, with many ideas involved. And yes, solely for tobacco purposes. Funny enough, I've done my run with drugs, I'll stick to occasional alcohols and Cigarettes from now on, thanks.

But I was wondering if anyone knew of a metal that didn't really give water a "tang," or at least provides a subtle, warm one. And doesn't react to water or corrosion. I am thinking I may end up just accepting stainless steel and having the outside brass-plated. Or possibly I might choose Nickel. Brass pure brass (though attractive) supposedly causes an aftertaste. Trying to decide on the rest, though. I've examined the build of a hookah and think I may just really be building a "bong." I feel there are a few differing characteristics that make the distinction. Of course, I may just be building something that combines the two.

Actually, I'm researching this idea as I write and it seems this is basically a Chalice Pipe. Huh. Convergent concepts.

Meh. I may save this for a time when I've got a LOT of hours ahead of me; I'll stick to Nat Sherman's for now, though.

Note to self: Pick up a cigarette case. ooh, I should google that, see if I can find a nice steam-punk design...
